SwimmingPool

The Westwood Aquatic Center is comprised of three facilities, the main pool, the spa and the wading pool.  Each summer the Club employs lifeguards. These capable young men and women teach private swim lessons and watch over the facility while school is not in session, approximately 10 weeks. When there is no lifeguard on duty, all children 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult who will be responsible for their safety and behavior. An adult is defined as a responsible party 18 years or older.  Weak swimmers may be asked to take a safety test.

Pool Rules:

1. Diving boards are only available when a lifeguard is on duty.

2. No glass allowed in the pool area (broken glass may be hazardous to your health)

3. Please eat and drink in the fenced-in picnic area by the pool. This is the only designated eating area by the pool, therefore, we request the tables not be monopolized for personal parties and events. This is a shared space for all members.

(Water in plastic containers is OK poolside.)

4. No chewing gum or smoking in the pool area.

5. Swimmers must wear swimsuits! Cutoffs or shorts are not allowed.

6. Floating Devices: Life Vest, water wings with a chest strap and small tubes with attached seats are permissible. Kickboards may be used during lap swim only. The use of floating lounges, pool noodles or black fins, which can mark the pool, is not allowed.

Welcome!

Thank you for your interest in the Westwood Club Preschool. We have been serving the North County community since 1972 offering part day preschool for students ages 2 - 5 years old. Our academic year runs from September to June each year and closely follows the PUSD calendar, honoring national holidays and school breaks.

We register and enroll new students beginning in the spring for the school year that begins the following September. Once classrooms are full, we begin waitlists. We leverage the waitlist each year - particularly through spring and summer months - leading up to the start of the new school year. Waitlists are dissolved each June and we begin again. Occasionally, we have availability during the course of the school year. This information will be posted on our website.

The Application Process

We understand that choosing a preschool for your child is a big decision. We encourage you to visit our school, meet our staff and explore the classroom! We schedule tours Monday-Friday 2pm-3pm. Tours are approximately 20 minutes. Tours are for both parents and children. We feel it is important for children to see their new school!

Once you have selected the best class option for your needs you may obtain a registration form from the preschool office. A completed registration from and fee is required to hold your child's place in class. Once you are registered, the admission packet is available on-line or from the preschool office.

Registration

Registration at the WWC Preschool for the next school year begins each spring. Registration forms are available from the preschool office. The annual registration fee is due at the time of registration to guarantee your place in class.   The registration fee for WWC members is $85/annually. The registration fee for non members is $165/annually. Once classes are filled, parents may be placed on a waitlist and notified as soon as a place becomes available.
